Air Duct Cleaning & HVAC Systems
Breathe Easier with Clean Air Ducts
The air conditioning and heating ventilation system in a home or office building is often the primary reason for poor indoor air quality. In most instances, these systems have been operating for several years without much attention.
Dirt, dust, mold and pollen are recirculated through air ducts every time an air conditioning or heating system is operated. Combine this with moisture and you have the ideal breeding ground for fungi, germs, and household mold. Studies have confirmed that contaminated air ducts can spread some diseases, including salmonella, strep, and legionnaires disease.
Clean Air . . . Better Health
Healthy living has become a way of life. Whether at home or at our place of business, we want our environment to support our healthy lifestyle. Yet what we often overlook is the quality of the indoor air we breathe. Considering many of us spend as much as 90% of our time indoors, it makes sense to ensure that the air ducts in our home or office building – a major factor in determining the quality of indoor air - remain clean.
Improve the QUALITY of your INDOOR AIR with advanced AIR DUCT cleaning.
“Indoor air has been found to be up to 70 times more polluted than outdoor air.” - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Our advanced duct cleaning system completely removes years of potentially deadly and allergy-inducing contaminants. All of our equipment meets or exceeds industry standards.
ECCE Cleaning Services use the most advanced air duct cleaning system available. Designed and manufactured by one of the leading manufacturers of vacuum equipment in the United States, ECCE’s duct cleaning system will completely remove years of dust, grime and potentially noxious and allergy-inducing contaminants. All of our equipment is manufactured to meet or exceed OSHA, EPA, and NADCA standards.
ECCE professionals will inspect your HVAC system and ductwork. We will then develop recommendations regarding the most cost-effective way to address your home or office building indoor air quality issues.
The Entire Decontamination Process
Our powerful vacuum system will be connected to the air duct near the furnace. Various tools, including a duct-scraper, which adapts to the shape of the duct, will be used to dislodge contaminants and debris in the ducts. Our powerful vacuum system will pull the contaminants out of the ducts and transfer the collected debris to collection containers. Clean air is filtered through a HEPA filtration system, removing 99.9% of particles. All access holes are resealed, returning the duct system to its original condition.
Asbestos Hazard
Asbestos has been widely used in many building products because of its tensile strength and chemical and thermal resistance. However, asbestos is extremely hazardous to workers handling it and to others in the area when it gets into the air and is inhaled. Asbestos is a carcinogen that causes lung cancer and mesothelioma. Because of this hazard, laws have been enacted to prevent asbestos exposures.
They include these requirements:
Building owners - Must have their buildings inspected for asbestos before construction, renovation and demolition activities.
Construction contractors - Disturbing asbestos materials during construction is a serious hazard. Before bidding or starting any construction work, they must obtain a written asbestos report from the building owner or owner's agent.
Homeowners - If you are working on your own residence and it is not used for commercial purposes, then you are exempt from these requirements. However, you must provide information to contractors and other workers you bring in to work on your house.
Asbestos abatement (removal) contractors - Anyone handling or removing asbestos in Washington.
Must be certified.
Must also notify your local planning department of any asbestos abatement projects before starting work. Each governmental jurisdiction has their own unique codes that must be followed.
Why Hire ECCE as Your Asbestos Management Service Provider?
Our Asbestos Remediators are licensed with the State of New York and the State of New Jersey.
Are there government regulations to protect people from asbestos exposure?
NYS Governmental Regulations
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection has rules requiring proper removal and handling of asbestos containing materials in buildings.
New York State regulates the training and licensing of asbestos abatement workers and firms.
The US Environmental Protection Agency requires schools to identify and safely manage asbestos-containing materials.
The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires employers in the private sector to protect workers from asbestos exposure. In New York State, the Public Employee Safety and Health Bureau requires the same protection for city, county and state workers.
Bed Bug Detection & Eradication
Bed bug infestations are at epidemic proportions. ECCE utilizes the latest technologies for detection and eradication of bed bugs in your home, office, hotel, or business.
The most common beg bug is Cimex Lectularius. These parasites are usually no more than 1/4 inch in length and therefore hard to see. Bed bugs like to stay close to their hosts and hide in cracks, electric outlets, behind wallpaper, baseboards, and of course in mattresses.
ECCE detects and eradicates bed bugs. Eradication is done using thermal technologies that kill bed bugs at all stages of life. The thermal death point for bed bugs is approximately 115 degrees Fahrenheit for ten minutes.
Biohazard
What Is A Biohazard?
A biological hazard or biohazard is an organism, staph germ, super bug, or substance derived from an organism, that poses a threat to (primarily) human health.
This can include medical waste, samples of a micro-organism, virus or toxin (from a biological source) that can impact human health. It also includes substances harmful to animals. The term and its associated symbol is generally used as a warning, so that those potentially exposed to the substances will know to take precautions.
